Konami Code gives Facebook Flare

You’re going to want to try out this Facebook hack as soon as you read this… so go log into the social networking site and type ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → followed by the keys [b] [a] [enter] then move your mouse around and prepare to be amazed by a photoshop-like color lens-flare (as seen below)!

The above hack, formerly known as the Konami Code, is a cheat combination popularized in Konami video games. The first time the code appeared was in the 1986 release of Grease for the Nintendo Entertainment System.  In the game, creator Kazuhisa Hashimoto introduced the cheat (which gives players’ characters full power-ups) to make game testing easier for the designers.

According to TechCrunch, the Konami “Flare” Code was first introduced last week, on May 8th, and the button sequence is much the same as the original NES game with the exception of [start] which has been substituted with [enter].
