Megan Fox will be tearing men limb from limb in this year’s planned September 18th release of Jennifer’s Body. The R-rated, dark-horror-comedy follows Jennifer (Megan Fox), a demonic cheerleader who feeds off the flesh of men in a small Minnesota farming town. Screenwriter Diablo Cody warmly soaks the duration of the blood splattered screenplay in Jennifer’s B.F.F Needy’s plan to escape from a correctional facility, kill Jen, and all in time to stop the Satanic worshiping rock band responsible for Jen’s man eating tendencies.
The premise of the film does sound like it would be better left for the dust covered blurb on the back of a long since forgotten Goosebump book. But then again, I guess Jennifer’s Body is full of surprises being that it does not exactly scream out the plot of a follow up collaboration from writer (Cody) and producer (Reitman) of the warm and lovable film Juno. One thing is certain, Fox Atomic (subsidiary of 20th Century Fox) does have one good thing going for itself, it does not matter how ridiculous the script is, the testosterone high male audience will still seek out Jennifer’s hot body.
